M.Sc. Nursing course has started from 2008-2009 onwards with all specialities. Affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, Apporoved by Govt. of Karnataka and Indian Nursing Council.

Objective:
Utilize / apply the concepts, theories and Principles of Nursing Science
Demonstrate advanced competence in practice in Nursing
Practice as a nurse specialist
Demonstrate skill in conducting nursing research, interpreting and utilizing the findings from health related research.
Demonstrate the ability to plan and effect change in nursing practice and in the health care delivery system.
Establish collaborative relationship with memebers of other disciplines.
Demonstrate interst in continued learing for personal and professional advancement
Eligibility :
A candidate seeking admission shall have.
Passed B.Sc Nursing (Basic) or Post Certificate B.Sc. Nursing of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sceience, Karnataka (RGHUS), or any other universty accepted as equivalent by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science, Karnataka.
Minimum of one year of experience after obtaining B.Sc. Nurisng (Basic), in a hospital or in Nursing educational institution or in community health setting. For candidates with Post Basic B.Sc in Nursing degree no such experience in needed after graduation.
The agregated marks obtained be not less than 50%.
